Bar Louie Franchise Opportunities

Everyone loves Bar Louie! Awarded "Concept of Tomorrow" by Restaurant Hospitality Magazine, Bar Louie is a unique neighborhood restaurant and bar with lively, urban atmosphere featuring reasonably priced food, specialty martinis and extensive selection of beer and wine.

Bar Louie's franchise opportunities are as solid as they come. The restaurant has a proven track record of success due to its universal guest appeal, relatively low build-out cost and low overhead, meaning higher profit margins for you. You'll be backed by a proven business structure and the talents of Bar Louie's experienced corporate partners.

Concept

Menu: Bar Louie targets an underserved market niche between quick-casual and casual dining, offering an exceptional selection of distinctively prepared appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers and entrees that are large enough to share with prices ranging from only $3.99 to $12.99. A kid's menu is also available.

Drink List: Handcrafted, signature martinis headline the drink list and are a specialty of the house. Beer drinkers can enjoy an impressive selection of domestics, imports and microbrews available on tap. Bar Louie also boasts a well-rounded selection of over 20 wines, each available by the glass or bottle.

Atmosphere: Warm, upbeat surroundings with an urban feel include contemporary photography, signature hand-laid tile mosaics, hardwood floors, wood-paneled walls, modern light fixtures, plasma televisions and a variety of seating options from high-top bar tables to large circular booths. Live entertainment by local artists and DJs that spin today's hits create a high energy atmosphere. Service is "speedy with a smile." Outdoor dining available at most locations.

Hours: Bar Louie serves lunch, dinner and carry-out daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. or later. Late night dining is a specialty at Bar Louie, where the kitchen is open until last call and the full menu is available all of the time. Delivery is also available at select locations.

Demographic: Bar Louie has a universal appeal that can be defined by day part and location. Because of its unique menu offerings, reasonable price point, long hours of operation, lively atmosphere and strategic neighborhood location, Bar Louie attracts a wide demographic of equal parts male and female aged, on average, 21 to 55 that are single, married (with and without children), professionals, blue collar workers, students and more. Lunches tend to see more daytime workers and students, while dinners attract families and "happy hour" crowds. Late night hours usually bring in a younger crowd of singles.

History
Restauranteurs Roger Greenfield and Ted Kasemir of Restaurants-America, Inc. opened the first Bar Louie location in 1991 in Chicago's trendy River North neighborhood, known for its art galleries, loft performance spaces and cutting-edge residents. Surrounded by hand-laid tile mosaics, original photography and murals, Chicagoans enjoyed Bar Louie's signature oversized sandwiches and martinis so much that the location quickly developed a cult following. Greenfield and Kasemir eventually "packaged" the concept and opened nine more locations in the Chicago area, each becoming a neighborhood favorite. Locations eventually opened in several markets nationwide, including Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cincinnati and Tampa. Bar Louie Development, Inc. was created in 2005 as the franchising arm of the Bar Louie concept.
